Hi Michele,

I agree with you. Hotels must take competitive advantage of RSS before others do. Remember what happened years ago when hotels did not expect Internet wiuld be an important Distribution Channel. Others (online intermediaries) invested on resources and positioned themselves in the Internet.

There is another Internet growing, and the way hotels are being distributed will change in a near future.

Thank you for posting at this Blog, and come back soon.

Andreu, esto no para, créeme, mejor que sea así.

Lo siento por non escribir en espanol. Estoy a un nivel muy elementar...

First of all THANK you for this very nice and interesting blog.

I would like to say Yahoo PIPES can be an opportunity for hotels to sell directly using RSS.

I agree when you say that only a few hotels use RSS and I hope we will all start taking this in strong considerations in our short term marketing plans.

The interest in our industry, expecially in webmarketing and yeld management, seems too phocused on social networks and online communities (tripadvisor, etc.) or other external sources (often intermediaries) as the main way to market and to maximize profits.

Hoteliers should start deliver their own contents in many ways (RSS is only one of them) in a more direct way to protect their direct channel.

I look forward to read more news and articles on this in the future.

Thank you.
